You can find this section under Email Marketing > Email Templates in the IRP Marketing Cloud left navigation menu.
Email templates are a great way to quickly create responsive email campaigns or flows using preexisting templates.
Email templates allow merchants to quickly get started with new campaigns and flows. Select from a wide variety of available IRP email templates or create your own.
Merchants can use an existing template as the basis of an email or they can create their own templates from an existing one. Alternatively merchants can create email templates from scratch.
Email templates have associated attributes that allow merchants to filter and select templates that are most appropriate for given scenarios.
Viewing, Filtering and Using Templates
Templates can be accessed directly at Email Marketing > Email Templates.
A template is one that can be used over and over as the basis of a campaign or flow or as the basis of another template.
All IRP templates are responsive by default and work well on a wide range of mobile and desktop email clients.
Merchants can view available campaign and flow emails including IRP templates and merchant ‘Saved Templates’. Saved Templates are ones that merchants either created from an IRP template or templates that they have created themselves.
Templates are separated into two tabs:
- Template Library - IRP Templates
- IRP created templates can be used as the basis of other templates
- They cannot be edited or deleted directly by the merchant
- The merchant and preview and used to create a new saved template
- Saved Template - Merchant's Templates
- The template name and date of creation
- A collection of merchant created templates
- They can be previewed, edited, copied and deleted
A Preview feature allows merchants to view templates in both desktop and mobile views before selecting a template to manage in the Content Editor.
A template can be used by selecting to ‘edit’ the template using the '...' action available in the bottom right corner of each template. This action opens the template in the Content Editor. The merchant can make the required modifications and ‘Save Template’.
The ‘Save Template’ action allows the user to give the template a name, email type and occasion (if applicable). The Occasion field in text entry and allows the user to later filter the templates using their chosen occasion group name. The new template is now available to the merchant in their ‘Saved Templates’ tab.
Templates are not linked to any specific occasion or industry and can be used as merchants require. Filter options include:
- Email Type
- Occasion
- All occasions
- Most popular yearly occasions
- Number of Columns
- Industry
- All industries
- Individual industries as specified in the IRP
Merchants can create their own templates from scratch by selecting the 'Create Template' action.
