Note: An Admin User Group special permission called ‘Allow Epos Discounts’ determines whether an EPOS user is allowed to tender EPOS sales that include discounts. When using the EPOS and a discount has been applied to any items in a sale, if the Admin User does not have permission to add the discount (via the special permission), an authorisation code will be requested instead of the usual ‘Tender Payment’ window. The User's Manager should then enter their own 'Shop Code' ID number (as configured on their AdminUserEdit.aspx page) to enable the User to proceed with the sale. In the case that the user does have the special permission, the 'Tender Payment' window will be displayed as normal.
You can apply three types of discounts using the IRP EPOS:
- Discount by Amount
- Discount by Percentage
- Discount by Price
You can add discounts either to individual items in the order or to the order total.
