Navigation Settings

You can find this section under Application Settings > Navigation Settings in the IRP Admin left navigation menu.

You use the Navigation Settings section to define settings for the top and bottom navigation, left and right navigation, home pages and the attributes menu.

The following settings are available:

Setting Description
Top Navigation
Logo Homepage URL This setting defines what page the browser displays when someone clicks the logo. If you want the browser to redirect to the website’s home page, simply leave the field blank. Otherwise enter a value, for example, BrandList.aspx. You can click the Get Link button to generate a link.
Tabs Display Style This setting defines the display style of the navigation top tabs (1, 2 or 3):
(1) Tabs will only take up the width that they require and will be centred on the top navigation.
(2) Tabs will display full screen but will appear as separate elements.
(3) Tabs will display full screen and will display as a single connected block of elements.
Note that tabs will display above the product options bar on the top navigation and below the Search bar.
Show Basket Icon Check this box to display a basket icon beside the basket link control in the top navigation menu.
Show My Account Icon Check this box to display a My Account icon in the top navigation menu.
Show Wish List Icon This setting has been superseded by the Application Setting called Enable Wish List (in the 'Navigation - Top' grouping.) Once enabled, the wish list icon will appear in the header area at the top of your website and an add-to-wish list image will appear on all add-to-basket controls on listings and model pages.
Enable Basket DropDown Check this box to drop the contents of a customer’s basket beneath the link when it is clicked.
Show Images on Basket DropDown Check this box to display images in the basket drop-down menu.
Enable Brand-Category Drop Down Bar Check this box to display a Brand / Category filter below the Top Tabs for quick filtering.
Left Navigation
Enable Left Navigation Check this box to display the left navigation menu on pages that it is enabled on throughout the website. This depends on the display style that has been set.
Display Style Currently there are five display styles for the left navigation menu (1,2,3,5 or 6):
(1) Separate Headers: Sub-Departments and their corresponding categories will be displayed based on their display orders as separate elements on the left side of the page.
(2) Flowing Department Menu: Sub-Departments and categories flow based on their display orders in one block of links.
(3) Brand List: A list of brands available on the website will be displayed alphabetically on the left side of the page.
(5) Collapsible Menu: Category links slide down when the Sub-Department is clicked. Sub-Departments can be collapsed or expanded when clicked.
(6) Free-Form HTML Menu: You can insert HTML to constitute a left side navigation. Note that if you select this option but then don’t insert HTML, a blank gap will be placed where the left side navigation normally shows.
