IRP Event Promotes Belfast as a Centre of Ecommerce Innovation
IRP Commerce, the provider of ecommerce solutions for some of the UK and Ireland’s most successful and ambitious merchants, welcomed companies from across the island of Ireland to an event celebrating Belfast as the centre of Europe’s ecommerce innovation.
The event in The Fitzwilliam Hotel gave IRP merchants including DV8, Fishing Tackle and Bait, Johnston Prams, Jonzara, KWM Wines & Spirits and Old Mill Saddlery the chance to meet with companies from the ecommerce industry to collaborate and share strategies for success.
Ardmore Advertising, who recently acquired BFG Digital, partnered with IRP Commerce on the event and used the opportunity to discuss the global growth ambitions now available to merchants on IRP’s Commerce Cloud trading platform.
“We have long championed the opportunity that exists in Belfast”
Dal Loughlin - CEO, IRP Commerce
Speaking at the event, IRP CEO Dan Loughlin said, “Ecommerce is thriving and we are at the centre of its growth by aligning data and people to profit and from trading ahead of the market. We have long championed the opportunity that exists in Belfast and indeed the island of Ireland to make ecommerce front and centre and events such as these highlight that we are moving into a new era where the future of ecommerce is trading in real time.”
This event came hot on the heels of the eComm Live Conference, which IRP Commerce has been title sponsor for the event since its inception in 2019. IRP used their keynote presentation to highlight the importance of merchant net profit as the true metric of ecommerce success.
“Merchant Owner Net profit is the true metric of ecommerce success”
Dan Loughlin - CEO, IRP Commerce
He added, “There can be a lot of “noise” in our industry and a focus on the wrong areas, but we have narrowed down the true metric of success as being ‘merchant net profit’. All other ecommerce metrics are simply inputs into merchant profitability. By focusing on merchant net profitability ecommerce teams are empowered to trade their way to success and see all of the inputs for what they are. By combining the power of people, data and profit - teams, services and growth can all be benchmarked and profit per trade can be revealed.”
