Sales have increased significantly after switching to the IRP

Premium womenswear retailer Jonzara recently celebrated 10 years in business.

With three stores in Northern Ireland, this family business is making waves in the notoriously challenging women's retail market, stocking fashion-forward brands such as Sandwich, Betty Barclay and Gerry Weber.

The company started selling online in 2012 on a Magento platform, and after a recent move to the IRP platform sales have increased significantly.

“We know our product, trends and our consumer, but we needed help growing our online business and searched for a company who had the experience and know-how to get us there” said Managing Director, Jonathan McCann.

Some of the key reasons Jonzara chose to replatform were to:

  • Reach international customers.
  • Help introduce cost control measures within the business.
  • Receive support and guidance on how to develop the Jonzara brand.

The deployment process on the IRP was seamless. Mr McCann continued:

“Our deployment process was smooth, with clear guidelines which kept everyone in the team up-to-date with what was happening. We knew the schedule in advance and everything worked like a dream.

Now we are live it is unbelievable to reflect to see how limited we were with our previous platform. The flexibility of the IRP has allowed the ecommerce team to rethink all their processes and possibilities from being able to easily and quickly update front end design and promotions to linking in with our in-store EPOS. Time consuming tasks can now be completed in a few minutes and this has allowed the whole team to focus on driving the business forward.”

But how is the business performing?

  • Sales have grown dramatically on the IRP.
  • Projected sales growth is 50% in the next 6-12 months.
  • Currently shipping to 73 countries compared to 2 previously.
  • Jonzara can see significant traction in the UK, Europe and the US.

Thanks to IRP processes, sales opportunities and ongoing support, the future is looking bright. Working in partnership with the IRP team has meant that both parties are working together for a common goal. We look forward to sharing in the success.

IRP Deployment Manager, David Dickson said: “During the 90-day deployment project with Jonzara, alongside replatforming to the IRP they upgraded their retail software to ensure they could sufficiently scale on an international level as well as continuing to provide the 5 star service their local customers have come to expect”.

Top tips if you are thinking of replatforming:

  • Determine what the biggest factors are that are stopping you from growing.
  • Map out your current processes and requirements for a new system.
  • Ensure your team is aligned and understand the reasons for replatforming.
  • Work with an experienced platform provider that has experience in international growth.
