The sixth annual Ecommerce Expo Ireland took place last week in the iconic surroundings of Dublin's Croke Park.
Filled with movers and shakers from the world of ecommerce, this is the only dedicated ecommerce event in the Irish calendar and provided a platform to showcase hot topics and ideas from the industry.
IRP Commerce, alongside its Systems Integrator, Export Technologies, had a busy show meeting retailers, vendors and consultants from the world of commerce.
IRP Commerce CEO, Daniel Loughlin, gave a talk on The Irish Ecommerce Landscape & How to Guarantee Success Using a Statistical Approach.
He advised the audience that although the major opportunity definitely lies outside Ireland, they must still focus on servicing Irish customers. He also evangelised about the three figures that matter most in ecommerce: Visitors x Conversion x Average Order Value and everything else is a distraction.
His key takeaways included: 1. Alignment with your team is key, 2. Ecommerce is all about sales and the cost of sales, 3. You need the right technology and to adopt a big data approach, and 4. Comparison is key to efficiency.
Joining him on the expert area was Dominic Tracey from luxury fashion brand, Magee 1866. A customer of the IRP, this Irish success story has adapted and capitalised on the online opportunities it has been presented with to achieve substantial growth in its sales. We wish them continued success!
