Telesale Prompts

You can find this section under Telesales > Telesale Prompts in the left navigation menu.

You use telesales prompts to display information or questions at specific stages of the telesales order process. They remind Admin users who are placing telesales orders to ask questions or clarify certain pieces of information. This ensures that Admin users confirm all the information that is required to complete a telesale.

Prompts are displayed on the specified pages of the front end website when placing a telesales order. If there is more than one prompt for a particular page, they will cycle automatically every 6 seconds.

Only active prompts are displayed in the order set for the Display Order value. Lower Display Order values are displayed before higher values.

You can use a translated prompt for each supported language within your IRP.

The main TelesalePrompts.aspx page appears as follows:

The details you see are as follows:

  • ID: The ID of this Telesale Prompt, added automatically by the IRP.
  • Active: Active Telesale Prompts will be visible to sales staff when placing telesales whereas inactive Telesale Prompts will not.
  • Display Order: This defines the order in which the Telesale Prompt appears on the page that it is assigned to. Lower values display before higher values. For example, a prompt with a Display Order value of 1 appears before a prompt with a Display Order value of 2.
  • Page Name: The page that the Telesale Prompt should appear on, for example Basket.aspx, BillingAddress.aspx, etc.
  • Prompt: The text of the Telesale Prompt.
  • Delete: Check this button to select a Telesale Prompt for deletion and then click the Delete Selected Telesale Prompts button.
  • Edit: Click this button to edit an existing Telesale Prompt. For details see How To Add or Edit a Telesale Prompt.

What are Telesale Prompts?
You set up Telesale Prompts to help IRP Admin users when they are processing a Telesales order. The prompts appear when the Admin user is on the screens that you have defined for each prompt, for example the Basket page, the Billing Address page, the Order Confirmation page, the Postage page and so forth. The prompts are reminders for the Admin person who is processing the Telesale and they can be whatever you think is necessary. You might, for example, create a prompt for the IRP Admin user to ask the customer the following question when they are on the Delivery Address page, "Can I confirm that your billing and dispatch address are the same address?"
Can I create foreign language versions of Telesales Prompts?
Yes, you can translate the prompts into any language supported in your IRP. To do this, when you are creating or editing the prompt on the TelesalePromptEdit.aspx page, select the language using the drop-down list beside the 'Prompt' setting.
