You can find this section under Orders > Return Reason Codes in the IRP Admin left navigation menu.
You use this section to view the details of items that customers have bought and then returned. You can set up specific categories for returned items, indicating why they were returned and what stock action should occur by default when they are returned. You can also use this screen to:
- View all returned items regardless of the Return Reason Code;
- View items retuned for a specific Return Reason Code;
- Delete Return Reason Codes.
The main Return Reason Code page (OrderItemReturnReasonCodes.aspx) shows several details for each Return Reason Code in a separate row:
The details shown in the main grid include:
- ID: This is a unique IRP identifier for a Return Reason Code.
- Reason Title: This is the name of a Return Reason Code; it indicates why an item was returned, for example, "Item Damaged".
- Reason Code: This is a code associated with the Return Reason. For example, this code could be linked to an external system.
- Default Stock Action: This shows what should happen to stock by default when this stock action is selected. This can be either 'Write-Off Stock' or 'Return To Stock' Note that you can still edit quantities as and when required using the Order Manage page.
- Count: This shows the total number of items that have been returned for the particular Return Reason.
- [Delete box]: If necessary, check the box on the right side of the row belonging to the Return Reason Code that you want to delete and click the Delete Selected Reason Codes button.
- View Items: Click this button to view the items returned for this particular Return Code. This pops open the OrderItemsReturned.aspx window where you can see further details.
- Edit: Click this button to make changes to a Return Reason Code. For more details, see How To Add and Edit Return Reason Codes.
You can use the button at the top of the screen to add new codes; you can add as many as you need to. For more details, refer to the How to View All Returned Items and the How To Add and Edit Return Reason Codes articles in this section.
