Country Restrictions

You can find this section either by going to Live Chat > Country Restrictions in the IRP Admin left navigation menu or by going to Live Chat > Live Chat Sessions and clicking the 'Country Restrictions' button (positioned next to the 'View Automatic Activation Rules' button at the top of the page).

This page allows you to enable or disable the Live Chat feature for specific countries. (Shipping Countries also include a property called 'Enable Live Chat', which you can update by editing a Shipping Country.) When a user visits your site from a country that has 'Enable Live Chat' set to disabled, the Live Chat functionality will not be displayed. If the setting is enabled, the Live Chat functionality will be displayed for that country.

You can use the search bar at the top of the page to find any country restriction and you can use the buttons below the search bar to filter by countries that have Live Chat Enabled, Disabled or Both. If you click 'Other Options' you can also choose to include sub countries in your search results.

The following details are shown in the main grid:

  • ID: The unique ID of the Country Restriction (added automatically by IRP Admin).
  • Image: The flag of the country. If you click on the flag you will be taken to the ShippingCountryEdit.aspx page where you can view or update the configuration details for a specific country.
  • Country: The name of the country.
  • Currency ISO: The official currency ISO for this country.
  • Live Chat Sales This Year: This is the total sales figure for this year generated by using the Live Chat feature in this country.
  • Total Sales This Year: This is the total sales figure for this year in this country.
  • Total Sales All Time: This is the all-time sales figure for sales generated by using the Live Chat feature in this country.
  • Enable Live Chat: Check this box to enable Live Chat for this country.

If you make any changes on this page, be sure to click the Update All Live Chat Countries button to ensure that your changes are saved.
