You can find this section under Server Management > Maintenance Tasks in the IRP Admin left navigation menu.
This page (MaintenanceTasks.aspx) allows the scheduling of maintenance tasks to be carried out on the IRP system.
To use a Maintenance Task, you need to set an Execution Schedule (Daily, Weekly or Monthly) and make sure that the task is Active. You can click the Run Now button to run the task immediately. You can also view a log of maintenance task activity by clicking the View Log button.
At the top of the screen you can click the View Maintenance Task History button to go to the MaintenanceTaskHistory.aspx page. From here, you can see details of all the actions that have taken place. You can search the grid by Maintenance Task Type, Action Type, Admin User and by Date Range.
Notable Maintenance Tasks include:
- 'Rebuild Database Indexes'. This is required functionality for the IRP database.
- 'Clean Up Integration Logs'. This is used by the Integration functionality. The main features of the Maintenance Task are as follows:
- The task will run daily in the morning and will delete any audit entries older than the Log Retention Period on a per-integration basis.
- The task will only delete standard audit entries and will never delete any entries caused by the SQL of the integration being edited.
- The task will also delete historical integration files and integration report files older than the Log Retention Period.
- 'Rebuild Large Table Indexes '. This task rebuilds the indexes on large database tables once per month.
