Brand Settings

You can find this section under PPC & SEO > Brand Settings in the IRP Admin left navigation menu.

The Brand Settings PPC section allows you to add and update several settings related to your Brand Ad Groups and also to view and update the current Meta Title Tag associated with the Brand. The Brands current website status as well as its status within all brand campaigns will be displayed.

Search

At the top of the Brand Settings PPC section there are options that allow you to filter which Brands are displayed below. You can carry out a search or you can filter using the four options listed:

  • Active On Website
  • InActive On Website
  • Active PPC Campaign
  • InActive PPC Campaign

This allows you to carry out investigation as to which Brands are active on site but not included in any campaigns as well as identifying if there are any Brands not listed on site that are currently active within a Campaign.

Add/Edit Settings

The following settings are included for each Brand:

Setting Description
PPC Ad Group This will be the name of your Ad Group for the brand. This will default to the actual Brand name but gives you the opportunity to name it as you wish. This is the Ad Group name that will be included within all upload files that run through the Adwords Editor. If you change an Ad Group name you must change it both in the IRP campaigns and the Google Adwords account before upload.
PPC Alias When generating keywords in all the formats available (listed below) you can include extra brand aliases that can also be used. This will account for alternative and shorthand names that are used by people when searching:
  • Brand Name
  • Brand Name + Category Names
  • Brand Name + Model Names
  • Brand Name + Custom Keywords
  • Brand Name + Part Codes
  • Brand Name + EANs
  • Brand Name + UPCs
PPC Keywords PPC keywords allow for the inclusion of brand keywords that may not be stored or related to a Category, Model, Part Code, EAN or UPC. They form the more general keywords and you have the choice per campaign as to whether they are included or not.
PPC Keywords can also be entered in language variations. This will depend on the current languages you have active on site.
SEO Page Title This will display the current Meta Tag Title that is included within the title of your Brand pages. N.B. There may be additional generic words being added to the start or end of your Meta Title Tags depending on the SEO translations that are included within your IRP.
PPC Advert Headline The PPC Advert Headline allows you to specify a phrase that can be included in your text adverts if you so wish. There are many variations available through the PPC Text Ads section. As there could be the possibility of generating multiple variations of Ads for many Brands you may wish to have a standard headline phrase that can be included.
PPC Advert Description The PPC Advert Description allows you to specify a phrase that can be included in your text adverts if you so wish. There are many variations available through the PPC Text Ads section. As there could be the possibility of generating multiple variations of Ads for many Brands you may wish to have a standard description phrase that can be included in either description line 1 or description line 2.
PPC Negatives Negative keywords provide the option for you to include keywords and terms that you do not wish your adverts or banners to display for if they are included in a user’s search term, regardless if some keywords in the search term are held within your Ad Groups.
PPC Language Keywords The option to enter language specific values for PPC Keywords, SEO Page Title, PPC Advert Headline and PPC Advert Description is available when a language option is selected in the area beneath the Search Area.

To save the details you have entered, click the Save Settings button.
